Now For Something Really Scary
Now, I do tend to believe in Murphy’s Law, but I have usually scoffed at the conspiracy theorists out there.
But I have to tell you, friends and neighbors, there’s some spooky stuff going on in this country nowadays, and most of centers around the federal government.
I’m not one of these right-winger militia nuts running around with a Confederate flag on my truck and wearing fatigues. But I mean, it’s getting downright freaky.
Back in early February, eyebrows were raised when the IRS put up bids for 60 Remington police combat shotguns. But if you think about it, yeah, the IRS needed weapons to get Capone, right? So we let that one slide…
But it gets weirder.
This week, the U.S. Department of Education put out bids for 27 police combat shotguns, to be delivered to their office in…Chicago.
Uhm…what???
This is seriously disturbing. What on earth does DOE need with combat shotguns? What in the world could they need any weapon at all for? Disciplining high school students? Suppressing a cafeteria riot? I’m not making fun, here, this is just mind-boggling.
And here’s this: With recent salmonella outbreaks, the Centers for Disease Control used shopping card data to trace the outbreak to its source, supposedly with permission of those sickened, but many say they never gave any such approval. Don’t you find that horrifying?
Gets better. In order to work in this country, and to stave off the employment of illegal aliens, a proposal might come before Congress to issue a national identification card, without which you would not be able to be employed. Citizen or non-citizen alike. This card would have “biometric” information, possibly fingerprints and even DNA encoding of the holder.
Are we getting chills yet? It’s the same as George Bush’s “Real ID” effort. Meet the new boss, the Who said, same as the old boss.
Because of illegal immigration, the entire nation would be subjected to this incredible breach of privacy? Honest, law-abiding citizens would have to submit to possessing such a card to get jobs ranging from a drive-up window clerk at Mickey D’s to a nuclear physicist?
Has everyone in Washington lost their damn minds?
All in the name of immigration reform. Let me tell you one thing here and now, friends and neighbors, those police combat shotguns the IRS and DOE are purchasing best handle immigration reform. We are not the least bit serious about immigration reform in this country. We only have to install a fence, machine gun turrets and a pass-through station where you can show your legal status, visa or whatever. Everyone else gets…turned back. I ain’t playin’, neither. This is a joke, and a very bad, scary one, to issue national identification cards to everyone who wants to get a job, including those of us born and raised in our country.
Have we had enough yet? Bush-Cheney, Obama-Biden, Reid, Pelosi, Rumsfeld…when are we going to wake up and see that Washington is corrupt beyond conception, no matter what party you are. Sure, there are some idealistic holdouts, but the vast majority is out for one thing: Themselves. Power, absolute power.
They are determined to cram health care reform down our throats when the majority of the American people clearly don’t want it. And Nancy Pelosi says that’s okay, sometimes Congress has to do what’s right, not what the people who elected them want.
I say again…what?
The colossal, incorrigible arrogance of these people. It is clear they are trying to get this thing under the bar before the November slate of elections because they know good and damn well that the people of America are hacked off, and things are going to change come fall. How is that public service? Cramming this thing through before we can kick their cans to the curb? Unbelievable.
And again…what does the Department of Education need with police combat shotguns?
Who cares if Eric Massa felt up a guy? Who cares if Rahm Emanuel poked him in the chest in the shower, buck-naked? The national broadcast media uses any means to divert attention from the real issues, the ones they’re trying to slide in behind our backs. Rep. Patrick Kennedy was right in his tirade this week after a withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan measure failed:
“If anybody wants to know where cynicism is, cynicism is that there’s one, two press people in this gallery,” Kennedy said. “We’re talking about Eric Massa 24-7 on the TV. We’re talking about war and peace, $3 billion, a thousand lives and no press. No press.
“You want to know why the American public is fit? They’re fit because they’re not seeing their Congress do the work that they’re sent to do. It’s because the press — the press of the United States is not covering the most significant issue of national importance and that’s the laying of lives down in the nation for the service of our country.
“It’s despicable, the national press corps right now.”
Careful, Patrick. They got shotguns, you know.

Any chance Pelosi might get colon cancer – or throat cancer? Same thing comes out of both ends.
Stay on it, Paul Revere, I got the lantern in the window!
Oh, the dogwoods are gorgeous in the woods up north!

Come November get out and VOTE! and know why you are voting for that candidate. I think term limits is the way to go. Those in Congress are just in there for power grabs. They don’t take their oath serious. Too much big government. We are doomed by our own government if We the People don’t stand up and do something about the corruption in Washington (and local state/city)government.
Someday we are going to have to take this country back. It is looking like the enemy is arming themselves.
